that i didn’t need to be so stressed out.
Nothing about the interview, the only thing I don’t like is the location, but that’s just because it’s far away from my hometown.
everyone was so so nice. it was my first interview, so I was really nervous, but the informational sessions were interesting engaging and every single person was super nice. they have a great culture.
I just looked up common interview questions and prepared for the really general ones. I also had good answers for why ttuhsc lubbock. I listened at the med student panel the night before and all the info the day of and used that in my interviews.
The students providing information were not very knowledgeable about their program, and the medical school's materials had major inconsistencies in some of the claimed numbers.
They were very friendly
Thank you!
Who my specific interviewers were
Nothing really
The sense of family at TTUHSC and the effort they put in to provide a positive interview day experience
SDN, mock interviews, researched school, looked up common interview questions
Every single person on interview day was happy to be there! There seems to be a great culture of collaboration here. I have also confirmed this with alumni no longer affiliated with the school and they agree!
I didn't prepare much. This was my third interview, and nothing new came at me that I didn't experience in the first two.
The school culture seems very welcoming and friendly. The event was also impeccably organized, with breakout rooms for: housing, activities in Lubbock, conversation with Dean's Ambassadors, and playing jeopardy with other candidates. Overall a very fun and relatively low-stress day!
I wish I had reviewed more ethics scenarios!
Two minutes per interviewer did not feel like enough time. Ended up having to rush my points towards the end
The staff and faculty did an incredible job making the virtual interview setting a stress-free and welcoming environment. By the time it was time to interview, I was way more relaxed than I anticipated
Participated in mock interviews with peers
The environment and interviewers were extremely laid back and kind. It was more like a conversation.
