They have good board match rates, and their students seem to do well. They provided an informational session a day before the interview was due and applicants were able to ask a faculty member anything they wanted, which was nice.
Multiple mock interviews, looking up interview questions, reviewing LECOM's website, and researching more about osteopathic medicine.
Asynchronous Virtual interviews - aka you're videotaping yourself, not nearly enough time to both think through your thoughts and actually elaborate on the questions
Did not deter this school from being near top of my list but I did not like the interview format.
30 seconds is not a lot of time to prepare answers when they ask for answers to be "clear, insightful, and complete".
They seem to be promoting themselves as a school as opposed to getting to know me as a candidate.
Cutting travel costs by having the interview virtual and by having a Zoom prep session beforehand.
SDN questions, mock interview
The fact that it was asynchronous. It feels like they don't care enough to show up and give the courtesy of networking with applicants.
I didnt haha
Weird asynchronous interview style but definitely less stressful. They probably just invite a ton of people to submit one.
You have more time than you think to answer each question.
Didn't seem like they truly wanted to interview me based on the style of interview.
They played a video prior to each question which gave you an idea of what they were going to ask.
Used former SDN interview feedback to prepare for some of the questions.
please stop using this format.
the asynchronous style is really impersonal, and it feels like the questions they ask are more "essay questions" than questions about me as a student/person
