There were some tough questions that I didn't know how to answer.

Reported experiences · Within the past 2 years

IDK how standardized the interview process actually is... someone told me they had 20 questions while I had closer to 15.

Everyone is super kind!

This is a great place to go if you love school and being told what to do lol. I am a self-guided type of person and was turned off by how little this school mirrors the actual medical world

I wish I looked more into their curriculum before I applied. I only learned about the curriculum in-depth from the post-II videos they made us watch and I disliked everything from 4 hours worth of team based learning 3x a week, essay exams, and many other hand-holding aspects of the school.

Reported experiences · 2 to 5 years ago

I am not a fan of how much hand-holding the school does. From the start, after I received an interview, their portal said they understand Zoom fatigue yet they planned an entire day of presentations and 2 hour-long interviews. They even had about 4 hours worth of youtube videos for us to watch before the interview because they viewed it as a "flipped classroom" interview. Too many mandatory sessions and assignments... they even have essay exams every block?

Researched the school, mock interviews

Reported experiences · 5 to 10 years ago

The faculty interview seems to have barely read my file as she got the dates for my activities wrong and she didn't know where I was from. The admissions team really sold me on the school otherwise.

The students were awesome and seemed very happy to be there.

Practice interviews

Reported experiences · 5 to 10 years ago

This school is incredible, the facilities are brand new and state-of-the-art, and the hospitals nearby are top-notch. True pass/fail curriculum with no ranking makes for a non-competitive environment, and the students here seem very happy.

You might get stuck with both of your interviews in the afternoon, like I did. This just added a little stress to my day as I had to eat lunch and go on the tour without having done either of my interviews yet.

Reported experiences · 5 to 10 years ago

This is the first year they're doing two weeks of crash course anatomy with cadavers and then moving to an augmented reality anatomy for the rest of the pre-clinical years. This is super cool, and a lot of money went into it, but I think it is yet to be seen how this will be for students in the long term. Also, Cleveland isn't the best city there is lol.

The new Health Education Building is absolutely incredible. The architect for it was the same guy who designed the new Apple Campus, and you can definitely tell. It is super futuristic, the classrooms are amazing, and the technology is so cool. The IQ curriculum seems super beneficial, and it gives students a ton of flexible time. School is located next to four incredible hospitals, including one of the best hospitals in the whole country.
